SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLS FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING
Social media can help students become media-literate and prepare them with collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills needed for future success in this technological age. This course provides K-12 teachers with an in-depth guide to successfully plan and implement authentic, integrated social media tools. After taking this course, teachers will understand how to integrate a variety of social media applications into core curriculum content areas; how to prepare students to participate safely through digital citizenship practices; and how to support needs of diverse learners through social media platforms. By the end of the course, teachers will be able to increase student engagement and improve overall achievement using various social media tools.
