2018-2019 Undergraduate Catalog

Chemistry, Bachelor of Arts

The chemistry major requires a minimum of 30 credits in chemistry plus 22 credits in mathematics and physics.  It is recommended that students also take CHEM 314 Biochemistry, CHEM 342 Instrumental Analysis, and MATH 170 Introduction to Scientific Programming.

Students with a double major in biology and chemistry may reduce their mathematics requirement to MATH 115 Calculus I, and may substitute CHEM 314 or 315 Biochemistry for CHEM 322 Physical Chemistry II.  The chemistry major leads to the bachelor of arts degree.
