Student Load
Academic credit is measured in semester hours. A minimum of 6 credits during a semester constitutes full time enrollment for that term. For purposes of financial aid, a student taking 6 credits is considered full time. Students are allowed to enroll in a maximum of 12 credits during a semester. Students wishing to enroll for more than 12 credits must have a GPA of at least 3.00 and special permission of the Dean of the School in which the student is majoring. Pass/fail courses are counted in the student's course load. Audit courses are not counted in the student's total credit load. Students enrolled in a mixture of undergraduate and graduate courses are still limited to 12 credits per semester unless approved by the Dean of the School.
Faculty advisors consult with every student at least once each semester to ensure that they are making satisfactory academic progress and to help plan their course of study.
