LEAD 306 World View: Faith and Vocation
Worldviews are socially shared assumptions about ourselves and the universe through whose lenses we make decisions and respond to our environment and relationships. They are often encapsulated within religions. Because we are consistently faced with multiple worldviews, it is important to be aware of our own worldviews and the strengths of that worldview in negotiating our world. Self-examination fosters moral and ethical growth, and consequently growth in leadership. Thus examining our worldviews offers us a rich chance for such self-examination and growth. This course will explore the story of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark as a paradigm for worldview development, self-examination and change.
Students who have taken THEO110 or 310 are not eligible to take this course.
