Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

 

Grade of C- or above on all Professional and Specialization courses

 

Complete EDUC 101 with a minimum of C-

 

Favorable Background Check

 

* UTEP students: successful completion of all prerequisite courses as outlined on the advisement sheet and attainment of Associate of Art (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) from the partnership

college

Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in their professional and specialization coursework, and minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

 

Passing scores on the Illinois License Content Area Test are posted in ELIS account.

 

A candidate is on target for completing the GU residency requirements for graduation and has senior status by the beginning of his/her professional internship.

 

Fulfilled field/clinical experience (or will fulfill by start date).

Successful completion of the professional internship as evidenced by final evaluations from the cooperating teacher and the student- teaching supervisor in concert with the Director of Field Experience and Clinical Practice

 

A minimum cut score of 3 is required for successful completion on observations from supervising and cooperating Teachers

 

Completion of exit interview

Fulfillment of all program, institutional, and Illinois State License Board requirements

 

Acceptable manifestation of GU Teacher Candidate Dispositions

 

 

 

 

Candidates must complete applications for Admission to the Program and Admission to the Professional Internship. These applications may be found in the Community group online and in the School of Education Office. Candidates are required to meet all requirements for each checkpoint, as provisional admission is not accepted. Candidates are also encouraged but not required to submit: A Disposition Report from EDUC 110.
