English, Bachelor of Arts
The English major requires completion of 33 credits in English, exclusive of Writing and Critical Inquiry (ENGL 105). The student, in close collaboration with his or her advisor, has latitude in determining which English courses beyond the core may be chosen to meet the 33 required credits. Students anticipating graduate work in English should be aware that a reading knowledge of a foreign language is frequently required. The English major leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree.
