Special Education, Bachelor of Science
The special education major is a course of study leading to Learning Behavioral Specialist 1 (LBS 1) Birth to 21 licensure. The program requires the completion of 60-65 credits in the major and 39-41 credits of professional education. The special education major leads to a Bachelor of Science degree.

In addition to the major requirements listed above, students will need to complete a general education curriculum and elective courses to earn 120 credits which is mandatory for earning a Greenville University degree. Some general education requirements are met through required major courses which reduces the number of required general education credits. Students should work closely with their advisor to put together an academic plan to make sure all degree requirements are met in a timely manner.
