PHIL 250 History Of Philosophy I

Major thinkers and themes of philosophical thought from Thales in the sixth century B.C.E., to the late fifteenth century medieval scholastics will be studied. Special attention will be given to the thought of Plato, Aristotle, Augustine and Thomas Aquinas and how these thinkers approached metaphysical, ontological, and ethical problems.
