ENGL 522 Teaching Pronunciation
This coursepresents basic theory that will build upon what is learned in Linguistics for TESL course. Additionally, strategies that will assist in improving your students' pronunciation will be introduced. At the end of the course, students will be able to apply the strategies presented to classroom settings working with English language learners. This course meets degree requirements for those students who are not seeking the Illinois State Board of Education for English as a Second Language Letter of Approval/Endorsement. This course may be repeated one time for a total of two credits.
