Physical Education, Bachelor of Science
Physical education teachers learn how to teach and lead physical activity in a school gymnasium or other school setting. The goal of physical education is to improve and maintain students' current health and set them on a path to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout their lives.
The physical education major requires students to complete 39 credits of physical education and 50 credits of professional education courses, and certifies students with a K-12 license. Students completing the physical education major are exempt from completing the general education Activity (ACTY) requirement. The physical education major leads to a bachelor of science degree.
