The information in this Handbook does not create a contract and is not an offer to enter into a contract. This information does not establish contractual rights for employment or any employment benefit. The information is not to be construed to constitute contractual obligations of any kind, or a contract of employment between Greenville University (“University”) and any employee.
No commitment for employment for any specified duration, including “lifetime” employment, shall be valid or binding on the University unless expressly set forth in a written document and signed by both the employee and by the President of the University.
Administrative staff and staff employment with the University is voluntary and “at-will” unless under contract such as faculty and administration appointments. For all “at will” employment, just as one is free to resign at any time for any reason, the University has the right to terminate “at will” employment and/or benefits at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
The information in this Handbook has been developed at the discretion of the University and may be amended or eliminated at any time, at the sole discretion of the University. The University retains the right to modify, eliminate, amend, or cancel any of its published or unpublished information for any reason, with or without advance notice, at its sole discretion by the authority of the Board of Trustees.
This information replaces all previous information and practices and may not be changed or added to without the express written approval of the President of the University. Questions about this information should be directed to Human Resources.
