Preface

The purpose of this employee handbook is to disseminate essential information in a convenient form to the employees at Greenville University. It is not intended that the Employee Handbook be used to replace the official documents and statements of policy of the University and its employees. By means of this handbook, employees may better understand the pattern of operation of the University and have at hand a rather practical guide as to procedures and activities which seek to implement the goals of the University.

Employees should read and understand all provisions of the handbook. It describes many employee responsibilities and outlines programs developed by the University to benefit employees. No employee handbook, however, can anticipate every circumstance or question about policy. The need may arise, and the University reserves the right, to revise, supplement, or rescind and policies or portions of the handbook from time to time as it deems appropriate, in its sole and absolute discretion. The only exception to any changes is our employment-at-will policy permitting you or the University to end our relationship for any reason at any time. Employees will, of course, be notified of such changes to the handbook.
