EXSC 416 Exercising Assessment and Programming

This course will integrate conceptual content and practical application to help students develop a knowledge base surrounding exercise assessment and prescription as it pertains to healthy persons and those living with chronic disease and/or disability. This course will examine specific measurements pertaining to cardiorespiratory fitness, cardiac function, body composition, and muscular strength and endurance across healthy and diseased populations. Students will also examine and develop exercise and physical activity prescriptions for healthy and diseased populations. It is strongly encouraged for students to complete an undergraduate exercise physiology course prior to entry into this course.
