EXSC 426 Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

This course will integrate conceptual content and practical application to help students develop a knowledge base surrounding cardiac disease etiology, the electrical conduction of the heart, ECG interpretation, and basic strategies used in the design and implementation of a cardiac rehabilitation program. This course is designed to facilitate knowledge and skill acquisition as it pertains to clinical exercise physiology. To successfully complete this course, it is necessary for students to have a fundamental understanding of exercise physiology. It is strongly encouraged for students to complete an undergraduate exercise physiology course prior to entry into this course.
