BUSN 501 Strategic Management

Effective management practice is centered on attaining both long and short term strategic goals and objectives. This course will help practicing managers critically evaluate their organization’s strategic goals and objectives. During the course, managers will examine their organization’s vision and mission, prepare a thorough external environment analysis, conduct an internal analysis that examines their organization’s resources and competitive position, help craft a strategy and predict possible problems and pitfalls that their organization might encounter during strategic implementation. Finally, managers will begin their program long reflection on Christian business ethics and what it means to be "called" into business.Prerequisite: MGT500
