EDUC 553 Literacy for Today's Society
This course will review the theories and current practices of literacy development and explore research-based practices in development of literacy (reading, math, technology) at fundamental levels for all students. Topics examined will include theory into practice, literacy learning for culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and literacy development across content areas, strategies for remaining current in literacy development, and literacy assessment.
