Field Placement Reassignment Policy

Students enrolled in Teacher Education coursework will be assessed a $100 fee for each course to which they must be reassigned due to non-completion of a required Field Experience component. This fee will be assessed at the time of the reassignment request to the student’s account. Only signed, written requests or e-mails will be accepted as proof and authentication for each request.

Requests are sent to the Director of Field Experience and Clinical Practice and include the following:

1. Student name
2. The course number for which field experience is being reassigned
3. Beginning and ending dates for a new placement
4. District/School to which student is requesting reassignment

To help ensure the date range (item #3), placement requests must be received a minimum of three (3) weeks prior to the requested start date. All rules and regulations pertaining to placement for Field Experience will be followed as outlined in this Guide to Teacher Education.
