Endorsements

Candidates seeking Initial Elementary, Initial Secondary, or Initial Special K-22 licensure may earn additional endorsements. These extend the range of teaching possibilities and may enhance the employability of candidates. Information and descriptions for endorsement areas may be found at www.isbe.net.

Candidates interested in adding endorsements after entitlement must contact a Regional Office of Education.

English as Second Language and Learning Behavior Specialist-1 Endorsements

Students who complete coursework within the Greenville University Master of Arts degree majoring in ESL or Special Education may be eligible to receive an Illinois State Board of Education endorsement. Students must submit the endorsement evaluation request per instructions found on the ISBE website (www.isbe.net). Students are responsible for mailing ALL official transcripts to the ISBE. ISBE makes the final determination on endorsements; this is not completed by Greenville University.
