Structuring the Science Classroom for Innovation and Equity
Whether you are a first-year science teacher or seasoned veteran, this course offers valuable opportunities to enhance
your practice. Participants will explore strategies for promoting equity, incorporating student identities, utilizing local
community resources, and nurturing effective communication with families. Design a PBL project, facilitate meaningful
classroom discussions, assess student understanding through data-driven feedback, and revise existing teaching
resources to support engagement, critical thinking, and diverse learning needs–all through an inclusive and culturally
relevant lens. By the end of this course, you'll be equipped with practical tools to inspire students and make science
