2.8.25 : Lounges, Upper Union, Experience Hub, and Visitation

Several student lounges exist on campus for the purpose of studying and socializing with friends. Lounge use is contingent upon appropriate behavior and adherence to cleanliness standards. The following lounges are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

·      Hood Hall Main 1st Floor Lounge

·      Mannoia 1st Floor Main Lounge Area (No Pod Lounges)

·      Tenney Basement

The following lounges are open during limited hours:

·      Burritt Hall Main Lounge – 9 am until midnight

·      Joy and Janssen Main Lounges – 9 am until midnight

All other lounges are open during open dorm hours. Students of the opposite sex visiting a lounge must be accompanied by a resident of the building they are visiting to remain in the lounge. Students present without a resident of the building in the lounges will be asked to leave.

Students should not congregate in front of doors or stairwells. Persons should not be lying on top of one another, may not lie down next to one another on a bed or floor, should not be under the same blanket or covering and should not be engaged in physical activity.

The Upper Union is open 24 hours a day. The Experience Hub is open 24 hours a day Sunday through Thursday and until 12 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Non-public areas of residence halls (such as student rooms) generally are subject to the following visitation hours.

·      Upper Division

o   11 am until 12 am Sunday through Thursday, 11 am until 1 am Friday and Saturday

·      Traditional Residence Halls

o   7 pm until 12 am Sunday through Thursday, 7 pm until 1 am Friday and Saturday

These hours are subject to change and abuse of hours may result in their suspension.
