Faculty Review Policies and Procedures
Tenure-track faculty are evaluated by a set of assessment procedures, agreed upon by faculty and implemented by the Faculty Review Committee. Thus, faculty review is intended to work in concert with faculty development.
The University has adopted criteria and assessment procedures to ensure that all faculty receive regular review and guidance regarding their professional development and performance. Non-tenure track faculty are evaluated by administrative review. Tenure-track and tenured faculty are evaluated by a set of assessment procedures, agreed upon by faculty and implemented by the Faculty Review Committee. All tenure-track teaching faculty will be evaluated by the FRC in their teaching and professional growth, because these two areas constitute the minimum expectations for a faculty member. Tenure-track faculty will also be evaluated in one additional area of their choosing. The options for the third area are Scholarship, Governance and Service. These are outlined later in this document under section Faculty Review Criteria.
