EDUA 5510 Teaching Beginning Golf: The Basics

TEACHING BEGINNING GOLF: THE BASICS
Golf is a lifelong sport enjoyed by people of all ages, but teaching and learning the basics of golf can be challenging. Countless techniques must be mastered to be a successful golfer, which requires a deep understanding of the golf swing, proper putting and chipping techniques, and how and when to use clubs, drivers, and woods.

This course is designed to prepare the golf instructor to teach the basic skills of golf successfully. The coach will learn numerous strategies to support and train the beginner golfer including how to assess the beginner’s golf swing. By the end of the course, the coach will have created a plan that supports a beginning golfer to master proper techniques and strategies integral to success on the golf course.
