Faculty Assembly Executive Committee

The faculty will elect a moderator and associate moderator to staggered two-year terms.  These elections shall be conducted according to the following procedure:

Nomination petitions must be submitted to the Faculty Assembly Moderator and the Office of Academic Affairs by the last Friday in March. Each petition shall contain the following items:

  • The position for which the nomination is being made.
  • The signatures of four nominating faculty members.
  • The signature of the person being nominated, indicating willingness to serve.

During the first week of April, a ballot election will be conducted by the Office of Academic Affairs.

Election is by a majority of ballots cast.

As discussed in Article IX, Section I of the Bylaws, the secretary will be appointed by the Chief Academic Officer, with the approval of the President, on recommendation of the moderator and associate moderator for a one-year term.

One important faculty committee with elected individuals is the Faculty Review Committee. The election process and responsibilities are explained below.
