Graduate Academic Affairs Committee (GAAC)
Membership
Membership shall include one elected faculty member per graduate program. The director or department chair who provides oversight of the graduate programs, one representative from the Records Office, and one representative from the library shall serve as ex officio members.
Responsibilities
Provides oversight and guidance to graduate programs in development, assessment, and program review (including the Institutional Review Board) and to work parallel with the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Committee (UAAC).
Other Committee Responsibilities and Membership
Committees are part of the faculty governance structure of the University. A variety of additional long-term and ad hoc committees contribute to the work of the faculty. These include but are not limited to the Institutional Review Board.
