Criteria for Achieving Doctoral Add-On Status on the Faculty Salary Schedule

(Faculty only)

Fifteen (15) units accumulated during the last five (5) year period are required to be eligible for movement from the Doctoral category to the Doctoral Add-On category on the Faculty Salary Schedule. These units must be earned in at least three of the six categories. Faculty must request Doctoral Add-On status and demonstrate that they meet these criteria to the VPAA.

The categories, with some examples of work in each category and the maximum number of units to be used toward eligibility for horizontal advancement, are:
