THE 4 C'S OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING
This course will examine project-based learning (PBL) and discuss its evolution to Gold Standard PBL. We will compare and contrast PBL and adding projects to a classroom assignment. We will also explore the rationale for using PBL. We will address how the components of the “Four Cs" of 21st-century learning––communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity––relate to PBL. After completing the course, the student will know how to implement a Four Cs-focused PBL unit into his or her classroom and provide reasoning for its use.
