EDUA 5358 Preserving our Planet

PRESERVING OUR PLANET
There’s no denying that the environment is constantly changing—and not always for the better. Both natural and manmade factors can harm the Earth’s ecosystems, and it is up to each new generation of humans to do what we can to preserve our planet. Teachers play a major role in teaching children about the environment and instilling in them a love and respect for the gifts of our planet.

In this course, you will review the five major ecosystems and the various threats to their health. You’ll develop strategies and activities to teach students about climate change and how individuals and corporations impact those ecosystems. In addition, you’ll brainstorm ideas for how you can get your students motivated and involved in environmental conservation both now and in the future.

Using the strategies and resources from this course, you will be able to help your students engage these complex issues and work toward effective solutions on the individual, community, and global levels.
