EDUA 5543 Getting Kids Pumped in PE Class

GAME ON! GETTING KIDS PUMPED IN P.E. CLASS
This course provides an array of motivational strategies P.E. teachers can use to engage students in effective PE instruction so they can understand the direct benefits of physical activity on their mental, emotional, and physiological wellbeing. By the end of the course, P.E. teachers will be able to incorporate intrinsic and extrinsic techniques to meaningfully engage students in physical education and empower them with the skills necessary to enjoy a lifetime of physical activity. Teachers will also reflect on their current practices and modify their instruction to include strategies that address the needs of all learners, including English Language Learners, students with special needs, students from culturally-diverse backgrounds, and exceptional athletes in various P.E. settings.
