We hear about 21st century skills all the time in education, the news, and in governmental policies. But what does this really mean? What skills are essential for successful youth in this digital age? This course is designed to provide the 21st century teacher with the essential skills and techniques for effectively integrating 21st century skills into the modern curriculum.
The students of today are technological natives; they have been raised in a world where they have always had access to technology and the Internet. In this course, the teacher will come to understand students from the "iGeneration" and how they learn. The teacher will explore a 21st century learning framework for transforming school systems to meet the unique and exciting challenges of today’s world, and will discover strategies for putting 21st century learning into practice.
