THE GROWING MENACE OF GIRL BULLIES
Bullying by girls is on the rise and on it’s way to becoming a modern epidemic, which is tearing apart the lives of children. Relational aggression, marked by gossip, teasing, forming cliques, social exclusion, and other cruel behaviors is harmful to both victim and bully. With the introduction of social media into the lives of children/teens, cyberspace provides a new battlefield intensifying these hostile and destructive behaviors.
This course will give the teacher an up-to-date understanding of the often hidden culture of female bullying. The course also provides effective and realistic strategies to address girl bullying and how to build a culture in the classroom to prevent it.
